Bishwa Ijtema concludes with Akheri Munajat

The first phase of the 58th Bishwa Ijtema in Gazipur, organized by the Shura-e-Nizam (followers of Maulana Zubair) faction of the Tablighi Jamaat, concluded with the Akheri Munajat on Wednesday. Led by Maulana Zubair from Bangladesh, the prayer started at 12:09pm and ended at 12:27pm. This marked the end of the second part of the first phase of the Ijtema, which lasted for six days.

Another phase of the Bishwa Ijtema, organized by the followers of Maulana Saad, will begin on February 14 and continue until February 16, concluding with the Akheri Munajat on that day.

Meanwhile, Habibullah Raihan, the media coordinator for Shura-e-Nizam, announced the dates for the 59th Bishwa Ijtema. The event next year will be held in two parts: the first from January 2 to January 4 and the second from January 9 to January 11.

Notably, the second part of the Ijtema began on Monday after the first phase started on January 31 and concluded with the Akheri Munajat on Sunday.

The government has permitted Maulana Muhammad Saad Kandhalvi’s followers to hold the second phase of Bishwa Ijtema this year on the condition that they will no longer organize the event or Tablighi activities at Tongi’s Ijtema grounds from next year.

Subject to these conditions, Maulana Saad’s followers will be allowed to hold Ijtema at Tongi ground from February 14-16.
